Brotha Abe Films seeks to showcase the stories of the forgotten, disenfranchised and overlooked. The films made here are gritty, offbeat, entertaining, and Heartfelt.

At the helm of Brotha Abe Films, sits Phillip Arthur Dixon. He has produced a mountain of independent narrative work, music videos, and community-driven events.

As a creative and trained historian, Phillip’s writing and directorial style pulls from a deep well of historical knowledge to provide incisive and timely cultural insights, galvanizing a unique perspective on our cultural moment.

Phillip is an active supporter of the local arts, participating on the boards of the Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas City and Heartland KC. He also serves as an adjunct professor at several local universities.
